Jessica Egger

In 2017, Jessica Egger partnered with GERA to build an educational framework to support the ESL component of NJReBuild’s mission. She holds dual M.Eds in Educational Administration and ESL Curriculum & Instruction, and a B.A. in Journalism & Political Science. Jessica has extensive instructional experience as a skilled ESL teacher serving the second English acquisition needs of Arabic, Bengali, Spanish, French, Mandarin Japanese, and Portuguese native speakers. Jessica believes deeply in educational empowerment, and has been an active participant in movements of peace and equality since 2001. In addition to her work with GERA, Jessica currently serves as the Director of Educational Programming at Oasis: A Haven for Women & Children located in Paterson, NJ where she is responsible for the educational oversight and development of adult ESL, GED, Workplace Readiness, youth & teen programs. She has a deep interest in sociolinguistics, native cultures, and geopolitics.
